When it comes to how I enjoy watching my movies, I usually like it when I have people around me who are also movie lovers that are engaging when watching. It's why I enjoy watching movies at the cinema.
There are specific movies which I prefer watching alone. Most horror movies are best watched alone for me. But when it comes to action movies and adventure movies, I don't have any problems with watching it when other people are around.
If I'm at home watching movies on either my Netflix or Amazon Prime, I prefer watching it alone without any kind of distractions. But when I'm at the cinema, I don't like going alone. I prefer being with at least 2 friends.

There's no fun in watching movies or TV series alone. It's only when I decide to watch movies deep in the night that I would be interested in watching all alone because I can't force anyone to me awake with me deep in the night.

Unless other people are awake in the night before you would be able to watch with them at night. Nights are meant to be solo watching time for movies. It's always the way it is with me.
I don't have any problems with watching movies alone as long as it is a movie that I am going to enjoy which have a very good plot and action, because I always enjoyed watching action movies.
Watching movies alone is boring for me which is why I normally prefer to have my friends over whenever I want to watch a movie. If I end up trying to watch a movie alone, I will sleep off before watching the movie up to 20 minutes.
